when i listened to this song , 

i felt that his vocals sounded different than usual ,

☘️　he said　in an interview , 

the lyrics of this song were originally a song of reconciliation for his ex-girlfriend , but as he was writing them , they changed to refer to life in genenal,

he said ,  this song tells the story of a man who drifts from town to town and doesn't fit in ,  and it's his own fault , 

and by that man , is he himself?

この曲を初めて聞いた時、声の出し方が、いつものクラプトンの声と違うように、感じた🐬

☘️もともとは、別れた彼女に対しての歌で、俺は涙の河で溺れている、といった感じの歌だったが、曲を書いている内に、男の人生全般の事を表すような内容に変わっていった。とインタビューで答えている様です。

町から町へと漂流し、どこの場所にも、なじめない❗

そして、その男とは、クラプトン本人のこと？
